Local 712 Youth Committee Pool Night, almost $3,600 raised for Juripop

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the traditional Pool Night was back in force this year. The event, held on November 17 at the Scratch in Laval, was an opportunity for many IAMAW members to socialize and spend some quality time together.

It was a great evening for a good cause," said Frédérik Grenier, Local Lodge 712 Youth Committee Chair. People were very happy to see it happen again and members were surprised by the number and quality of the door prizes we offered," he added.  

The event was held in two parts to accommodate people working days and evenings. Of the 203 tickets sold, 149 people attended the event.

"I would like to thank my brothers and sisters of the Youth Committee for their involvement in the organization of the evening as well as all those who participated in the evening," said the Committee Chair.

The $3566.75 raised during the event will be used to finance the Juripop organization, whose mission is to create innovative legal information projects and to provide access to legal services at low cost.

The only small drawback during the evening was that some sizes of shirts were sold out. For those who did not receive their shirts, don't worry, we will receive new ones shortly and your delegate will bring them to your workplace.
