Changes to QMC executive

Following the appointment of Brother Éric Rancourt as representative of the IAMAW Grand Lodge, he is stepping down as President of the Conseil des Machinistes du Québec (CMQ). Brother Rancourt will be replaced by current CMQ Vice-President Alessandro Bernardelli as of January 1.

At the December 13 meeting of the executive committee, the committee's representatives chose to appoint Frédéric Grenier, head of youth and succession, as the new vice-president, replacing Brother Bernardelli. This change will also be effective from January 1, 2024.

It should also be noted that, following Sylvain Larente's departure as CMQ Treasurer last June, Brother Alfredo Acrobati has been appointed to this position.

These changes will be in effect until the CMQ's next triennial convention, scheduled for spring 2025, and are in accordance with article 5 of the Conseil des Machinistes du Québec's Bylaws and Regulations.
